A great floor starts with the work nobody sees. Danny Boy Flooring Company removes old flooring, hauls debris, and preps subfloors so the new installation is flat, solid, and ready.
We handle this as part of a full project or as a standalone service.
What's included in demo and prep
Every home is different, but most prep jobs include some combination of the following.
- Removing carpet, cushion, and tack strip
- Pulling up laminate, vinyl, or hardwood
- Removing tile and thinset
- Scraping adhesive residue
- Patching and leveling the subfloor
- Hauling away debris
- Preparing for your new flooring installation
Dust and debris control
Tear-out can be messy, so we cover vents, seal off doorways, and vacuum as we go. Ask us about dust protection for your home.

Yes, disposal is typically part of the quote.
Tear-out creates some dust. We contain the work area and clean as we go.
It depends on how flat your subfloor is. We'll measure during your estimate.
Older vinyl and adhesives can contain it. If we suspect asbestos, we'll pause and recommend testing before any work.

We install and refinish hardwood, luxury vinyl, tile, laminate, and carpet, and we build custom stairs. Hardwood installation and refinishing are our strongest specialties.
